Changes...

So...what’s new you say? Quite a lot!
My bed. My views. My address. My postal code.

I have moved. Not just moved to another room in another flat. I have made bigger changes. I have even left Catalunya! I was thinking I would show you my new city poquito a poco.
But just to get one thing straight, I am still in Spain.

You might wonder why I haven’t said anything here on the blog before now? The last few weeks in Barcelona were completely stressful in so many ways, both physical and emotional. And I hate goodbye’s. I really do. I get sad, sentimental and might cry. I want to pretend it’s not the last time I do this and that,
although I can’t count the number of times I have thought that lately in Barcelona.
I have been all over the place, saying my goodbyes and done things for the last time (for now).

I shed some tears when I said goodbye to my friends in Barcelona who’ve become so dear to me. I shed some more tears when I went home from salsa dancing for the last time (for now) in Barcelona.  I shed even more tears when the plane ascended and I saw my dear Barcelona get smaller and smaller below me. I have become so so attached to Barcelona that it was sad to leave it behind.

But I know this new place is going to be just as great! It was just a case of what I call ’angre-panikk’ which usually occurs just before I move somewhere new. (I have moved quite a few times...)
Angrepanikk is not really a word, but it would translate to ’regret-panic’..

I feel completely happy being at this new place although I was sad to leave Barcelona. I just needed the calm of those last few weeks in Barcelona in my own pace, and also some days in this new place to really land before I felt like writing about it.

It’s very different here, but so beautiful in so many ways. I know that this is the right place for me right now, and I am very excited and hopeful for the future! I can’t wait to explore more, and share my next steps of this journey with you readers who I appreciate so much! I promise you, I am in an awesome place now too!
(Just look at the picture below... You can't get sunsets like this in a nasty place, I am sure!)

And just in case you thought this means no more Barcelona on my blog, don’t worry. I still have like hundreds of blog-post-ideas and pictures of things in Barcelona
- I am not letting go of Barcelona for a long long time yet!

  1. What a coincidence... I left Barcelona (Catalunha and even Spain) not even a month ago, after 2 great years. And I totally understand what you are feeling now. Leaving all friends and this great city behind... So where are you know? Have you moved because of work? Good luck!

  6. Do you have a "plan" to stay in Spain for a year, of just until you decide to leave? Or are you staying for much, much longer? Just curious :)

  7. Congratulations! This means you are going for a new adventure. Usually, new adventure = fun. I know how it feels leaving Barcelona specifically. But when it's time to visit a new place, you kinda have to say goodbye (or see you later) to the old one.

This is getting more and more interesting :)

    Enjoy!

  9. Oh wow...you left my favorite Spanish city!! :( Nooo. But you are right, you can't live in a nasty place with gorgeous sunsets like the one you posted. Hope you settle in smoothly into your new home and will let explore with you a new area attached with new adventures. :)

Thanks for stopping by, by the way. Always love to hear from new people! :)

    1. Kjære Thea :) Ja du vet alt om den angrepanikken du :) Men det har gått helt fint, var mer vemodig før jeg dro enn etter, så da er alt bare riktig. Jeg har også en drøm om at du kan komme på besøk her også! Stor stor klem
