More touristy stuff coming up

I have gotten a few requests, wishes, inquiries if you like, to write more stuff about Barcelona, and not just my personal experiences here. More touristy-stuff. More hidden gems. Places to eat, drink, see, and do. And that's fine by me! I am all over it, experiencing it every week anyway and I don't mind sharing a little more of that stuff here too.

I guess I started like that in Málaga. My first month in Spain & blogger-land was brought more from the eyes of a tourist, while I admit that the blog has become more expat'y these last months in Barcelona, and I have made the touristy stuff second priority. I'll try to find a nice balance.

So to all the people around the world who is not really interested in the city itself- such as restaurants, bars, sights etc. I am sorry, but I promise to keep the thoughts from the foreigner coming as well! I am actually quite pleased that there are people out there who seem to think my blog is well worth a visit before coming to Barcelona/Málaga because of the touristy content, and that is a big honour! So from now on, I will get back in the blogger-spirit I was taken by in Málaga and document more stuff from this fantastic city of Barcelona.

Oh, and I'll make a google mymaps, just like the one from Málaga.

And as always, your comments make my day! One thing is the statistics of the page, but what makes me really want to keep going is the feedback from you, my wonderful readers. Keep'em coming! And please don't be shy, leave me your footprint and I'll be so grateful!

  1. I *love* reading your blog! I'm such a sun worshipper and currently living in Scotland (having moved here from Arizona! Ouch!) I'm living vicariously through you ;) Even in a cold snap, Spain is so alluring to me. And I've got some more must see places from following your blog! Keep it up!

  2. Great great great! I love reading about the more touristy stuff, cause I hope to visit Barcelona this year. I like the way you write about stuff, so much better than a guidebook!! :-) Keep up the good work.

  3. You know what might be a good idea, create a post with links to your older posts where you might have already talked about some of these things. That way you're not working from scratch all the time. You maybe have new readers that missed out on all these amazing older posts :) Looking forward to reading more about your home :)

  4. Great blog, and yes, it's hard to find a balance between personal posts and useful recommendations for readers.
I'm on the other side of the bridge: I mainly focus on reocmmendations, how-tos, and do not tell enough about my personal opinions. I'll try to work on it too in Madrid !
Looking forward to see how you find this balance :-)

    All the best,
    Pierre
