Salsa in Barcelona at Antilla

Since I started salsa-dancing I always heard that Barcelona was the salsa capital in Europe. Which was actually one of the reasons I wanted to come here in the first place. I am addicted you see. Salsa is my passion, it’s my number one favourite thing in this world, and always makes me forget all possible worries and problems, it puts a huge smile on my face and makes me feel so light and happy.

The music is amazing, the Spanish lyrics sound hot hot (although I don’t understand most of it!) and salsa-people are so friendly. (Normally, although it was not the case in Málaga
I had done my research and picked out one place for last night and from the moment I entered the door till I went home late late late, I had a blast!

The energy was higher than high, the club was sizzling! Happy faces everywhere, people from all over the world united to dance salsa. Beautiful! I got in, got myself a drink for company and sat down at a stool just watching people dance. Although I LOVE dancing, I also really enjoy watching people dance. It’s so beautiful, how their arms and legs swirl, fold and unfold into beautiful figures and turns.

After about half an hour I was asked to dance and from then on, I didn’t get to ever sit down again. After each tune, another guy picked me up to continue.
I had such an amazing time, and people were so friendly and respectful. I am already looking forward to next time!

Antilla can be found at C/Aragó 141-143. Their web:
